Iman Khajehzadeh
Iman Khajehzadeh is an Iranian-American acoustic and electroacoustic composer. He studied music theory and composition with Alireza Mashayekhi in Iran and with Panayiotis Kokoras at the University of North Texas, where he also studied psychology.
Khajehzadeh has re-addressed a range of concepts from the definition of music and composition to the notion of form and its relation to the content. His music usually deals with the physical energy of sound and the complexity of structure. His research interests include a broad range of topics related to sound-based composition, integrated (multisystemic/multilayer) structures, and real-time interactive systems. |
