Iman Khajehzadeh is an Iranian born acoustic and electroacoustic composer who lives in the United States. While in Iran, he studied music theory and composition with Alireza Mashayekhi. In the US, he continued his compositional studies with Panayiotis Kokoras at the University of North Texas, where he also studied psychology.
Khajehzadeh has re-addressed a range of concepts from the definition of music and composition to the notion of form and its relation to the content. His research interests include but not limited to, multiplexity (multi-systemic/multi-layered structures), sound-based composition, real-time interactive systems, and phonetics processing. He is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers (ASCAP).
